Dolores Frances "Lorrie" Olker Pape was born August 25, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, the second daughter of Frank Anthony Olker (1899-1949) and Eleanore Helen Becker Olker (1905-1936). On June 19, 1954, a 95-degree day in Chicago, she married Paul Robert "Bob" Pape Jr., and had four daughters. They lived in the Chicago and Detroit areas, and also spent some time in Florida. She was a proud grandmother of 12. She died in Florida on December 6, 2005, after slipping and hitting her head while delivering a pie to a neighbor.
