Mrs. Lucy M. Liggett Dead.
Mrs. Lucy M. Liggett, formerly of Emporia, died Friday afternoon in Kansas City, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry R. Freeman, 810 West Sixty-third, with whom she lived. The funeral will be held in Kansas City Sunday and the body will be brought to Emporia Monday for burial in Maplewood cemetery. The body will arrive on Santa Fe train No. 5 Rev. J.M.J. Rice, former pastor of the First Congregational church, of which Mrs. Liggett was a member while in Emporia, will have charge of services at the grave.
Mrs. Liggett is survived by two other children, a daughter, Mrs. A.C. Wheeler, of Hutchinson, and a son, Roy Liggett, who lives in Oklahoma.
Mrs. Liggett, who was 81 years old, was the wife of Addison Liggett, who died in Emporia in 1910. the family lived in Emporia at 727 Union, from 1882 until 1914. Mrs. Liggett was a native of Ohio.

A short service for Mrs. Lucy M. Liggett, who died Saturday afternoon in Kansas City, was held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at Maplewood cemetery. Rev. J.H.J. Rice conducted the service. Funeral services had been held in Kansas City. Pallbearers in Emporia were Walter A. Jones, James Dwelle, John D. Graham, J.O. Graham and William Haynes.
