Dr. Turner was president of the Kentucky Medical Association, and was a captain in the U.S Army Medical Corps in World War 1. He was a supporter of the Samson Community hospital, an elder in the Christian Church, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was married to Miss Florence Harlin of Gamaliel. Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Henry Robinson, Green City, Mo. and a half-brother Mr. Jim Turner, Hartford, Ky.
