Photo of Saint Patrick's Old Cathedral Churchyard
St. Patrick's Old Cathedral Churchyard, Mulberry Street entrance in background. This churchyard includes remains from the defunct St. Peter's Churchyard (established c.1785), which had adjoined the original church of that name on the SE corner of Barclay & Church Streets in lower Manhattan. The disinterments and tranferral to Old St. Patrick's occurred in 1836, during the reconstruction of St. Peter's Church on a larger scale.
