Repairs & Renovation - 2007 Donated in Memory of Vera Truzzie
Constructed in 1828,this chapel was a Hicksite Quaker meeting house. Joseph Bell made the 5,553 bricks on site. Men and women had separate doorways and a partition inside separated them.In 1893 the varnish ceiling was added and the building was changed to look like it does today. Cost: $350.00 The interior is kept purposely austere in keeping with its historical significance as the place of worship for the "plain people."
