Photo of Freedom Cemetery
This is a schematic of the plots in the older sections of Freedom Cemetery, Freedom, Cattaraugus, New York. Originally, there were two sections: a Welsh section and an English section. The English section is shown here in blue, and the plots are labeled E1 to E168. Note that E7 and the lots in vertical line with it are not necessarily wider than flanking lots; this arrangement is simply to locate the English lots somewhat accurately relative to the graves across the driveway. The earliest Welsh section is shown in yellow; plots 1-112. A line of shrubbery used to separate these two sections (lavendar section), but no shrubs survive at this date. The newest section of graves is not depicted; it is located "above" the driveway immediately below this text. I have done my best to be accurate but cannot guarantee it. Bronwen Loeb 12/16/2012
