MAPLE LAWN CEMETERY In about 1807 the first adult burial was made on one acre of land donated by Joseph and Sally Prior Darrow. In 1871 one and one half acres was purchased from Chas. and Sabra Darrow. In Nov. of 1885 the ladies Benevolent Society was organized. In 1897 these ladies, under the name, The Darrowville Ladies Cemetery Association, took over the trusteeship and planted the first memorial flower bed. In April 1961 the upkeep of the cemetery was turned over to the city of Stow, but interest of the group still remains.
