|On this site in 1797 a log church was|
constructed known to all as the
Pisgah Church. For 56 years this
location served as a place of worship
and a cemetery for the Associate
Reformed Presbyterians of this area.
In 1855, part of the congregation
moved to a location 4 miles east of
here and formed the present Pisgah.
The remainder established the Nebo
Associate Reformed Presbyterian
Church north of the city of Kings
Mountain. The pastors who served
this church were William Dixon,
R. C. Grier, and E. E. Boyce.
