Norra begravningsplatsen (Northern cemetery), Stockholm was consecrated in 1827 in the presence of bishop Johan Olof Wallin. It is an area of 60 hectars (148 acres) with 30,000 graves.

The cemetery was designed by several architects and sculptures by Carl Eldh and Carl Milles can be seen.

The Great Choir (picture) was created by Carl Gustaf Blom-Carlsson in 1856-1861.
