|Baskinville burying ground is beside the old Presbyterian log church in the photo. The cemetery is on a bluff above Route 849 in Duncannon, Perry County, PA. It was incorporated into the adjoining Duncannon Presbyterian Cemetery and no longer goes by the Baskinville name. |
On the right side, the site overlooks the junction of the Juniata River and the Susquehanna River where the Baskin family settled in the early 1700's on the "Big" island.
Most headstones dated earlier than the 1850's are difficult to read due to weathering. Memorials for those buried in this part of the cemetery should be entered into the Duncannon Presbyterian Cemetery and not into Baskinville.
