|CB Langley||Thomas P. Langley|
Hi, my name is Brad Langley. I believe Thomas P. Langley and his brother, John W. are my 1st cousins, 3x removed. John died in 1864 trying to escape from capture (he was in the Georgia Hussars), but I can't learn the fate of Thomas P. I can make out the words "In Memorium" on the photo of his gravestone that you have posted. Were there any other words on the stone? The last written record of TP Langley I have is date Oct. 31, 1862....he was present at muster, but no later muster records exist. BTW, Thomas and John's father was Thomas Henry Langley (1812-1841), whose buried at Port Saint Joe, FL.

May I use the photo of your photo entitled the "Powell Brothers" on my ancestry site and also findagrave?
Thanks, Catie and Will (Catherine Powell)

I wonder if you might help me? On John Powell's site, Jasper Powell is listed as his father. Jasper is his brother and their father is Allen Beverly Powell 120805232. I tried changing this, but it was entered from another person's site and I am unable to make a correction. Your name appeared on the site and so, I am wondering if you might be able to do something. Several of the relatives seem to have duplicate entries. I presume that we are distant cousins, sincerely, Catherine Powell Funke, (Catie and Will)
|Barbara Lowe||cemetery location|
Hello all, I am visiting from Colorado and happy to find this site! I've been trying to locate the Powell Family Cemetery and it was great to actually see photos of my mom and dad's (J. Allie Powell Deubert & William A. Deubert) grave sites. I want to drive to the cemetery but I don't have a GPS. The location I pull up on the maps satellite photo doesn't look like a cemetery. I was there in 1990 and I remember turning up a dirt road by a little white church. I don't see the church or anything that looks like grave sites.
Does anyone have actually road directions?
Thanks! Barbara Lowe
I'm hoping someone sees this soon because we head back to CO after the first of the year....today is Dec. 21, 2014

Never mind about my previous post. I found on Ancestry that you are related to me and the Lee family in some way.

The Lee family at Friendship Baptist Church is my direct family. My granny's dad was Sidney Albert and Fannie Lee which makes Nesbitt Augustine Lee her granddad and most of the others uncles, etc. If you are not related and just added them along with the church record will you please send them to me to maintain as I have more family, war, and other records to add to their pages and it will be extensive for me to send everything to you on each member and their spouse. I even have pictures of some of them. Thanks, Denise

Hello, I found your info during a search on ancestry and google. I have been searching my campbell family for awhile and could not get past the imeediate family because everyone was old and passed. I am looking for any information on Paris Campbell(Daniel Portius Campbell) born 1863. He was my great grandfather Faber Campbell Father. Paris(Daniel) parents were Archibald Lawrence & Mary Sanders- Campbell. I am just finding out about them would love to hear from you. Would like to know more about them and photos if possible. I will email you personally as well. Thanks

My name is Janice Belle Powell I was researching someone on Ancestry .com and I happened to find this young man. His story made me cry. My father Ernest Otto Powell served in Belgium during WWII. He survived, thank God. Something in this young man's story touched me so deeply. He died two days before his birthday. In looking at the records, I am thinking he was his parents only son. He was only 25 years old.
By the way, he is my 4th cousin, 2x removed.
Thank you for your service to our departed service men and women.
