Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am researching these four main surnames: Barnett, Carey, Trammell, and Wrenn. I was born in Jonesboro, Craighead, Arkansas. We retired in 2004, and just recently settled down in southeast Alabama, in Henry County. I have just gotten a internet connection and have restarted my genealogy research.

Thurman tombstones
The Thurman tombstone is large and has all of those people sharing the same stone. Each side is etched and a memorial except for one side. I didn't know if you knew that or not so tried to show all sides and names and dates. I'll see if can allow you to manage the pictures and set this up however you would like.

Awesome! :) I looked in our phone book and didn't find her name, so she either moved from area or remarried.

You are very welcome. Her name is Betty Ann East Hammond. I added her and then realized she is still alive. Wasnt sure if that was ok or not, decided not to do it in the future, but her husband is also there. She could be a daughter to your East family.

You are so very welcome. I am in the process of photographing all of the graves in this cemetery. Not sure if you saw the lady with the maiden name of East also.

RE: Rachel Trammell
Hi, Ila.
Thanks for the message.

Do you have any evidence she was a Holt? I have seen many people list her as a Holt, but when I ask for the source everyone just says they got it from someone else. I believe the Holt may be a myth that has just been passed around on the internet so much that everyone accepts it as fact. (And there is perhaps some confusion as James' brother David married a Holt).

Others have listed Rachel as a Stark or Starks, and there is a marriage record for a James Tramel and Rachel Starks in Jackson County, GA dated 18 Feb 1808.

Until I see proof that she was a Holt, I will continue to leave her maiden name as blank.

But I definitely appreciate you contacting me. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks again!
John
