|Sandy Bicknell||RE: Kinner Family|
Yes, I remember you. There hasn't been anything new. Only the that he was kidnapped at the age of 6 and his real name was Lewis. The story was in W H Beers & Company Book, 1883 History of Brown County, page 560.
"William Lewis Kinner was born August 14, 1759, in Westmoreland County, VA; his real name was William Lewis, but at the age of six years he was kidnaped while playing near the coast, and carried away by a seaman. He was taught by his new friend, whose name was Kinner, to call himself William L. Kinner, which name he adopted. He was married to Nancy Becham in 1784 and emigrated to Adams County, Ohio, in 1796: thence to Ross County in 1800; from there to Clermont County, and finally to Brown County on the 23rd day of February, 1815. He settled on a farm now owned by Elizabeth Strain, and there lived until his death, which was only a few years later."

Sorry, I don't have any additional information on Henry Dawson. Good luck in your search.

I probably don't have any more information on Henry Dawson, particularly if Henry is buried in Woodland Cemetery, in Dayton, Ohio. However if Henry is Buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, in Washington, DC or Arlington Cemetery in Arlington VA, I might be able to find more info for you. Since there are 318 Henry Dawsons currently listed in Find A Grave, it would be helpful if you sent your inquiry about Henry Dawson along with his Find A Grave number.

I am working with another one of their descendants and have sent your contact info to them; I hope that's OK. Her name is Dianne Lewis and she's GREAT. She is very thorough with her research and documentation and just has me update the findagrave entries. I do have this family in my tree on ancestry, if you want to take a look there, but don't have anything further back than Benjamin and Mary. Since they are VERY distantly related to me, I haven't spent a ton of time on them. Good luck and let me know how things progress!

|Redcinder||RE: Mary Turner Ulrey|
Yay you and I are related!!!! :) I have been working so hard on Ulrey for a long time, I found Hannah Ulrey's information interesting through censuses, etc and in fact i was telling my sister about Hannah and it seemed that she had been married to Benjamin Lewis and then Josiah Harvey due to two marriage certificates, and had two boys and possible one daughter, Charles Henry Ulrey is Hannah's brother and he is my gggg grandfather, any info you have would be awesome, I worked mostly on censuses, etc
