RE: Issac Martz
Isaac was my great grandfather but not a blood relative. Never-the-less, I have included the Martz family in my family tree. Isaac married Carrie Magill who I remember fondly. Isaac died about 9 years before I was born so I never knew him. When Carrie married Isaac, she was taking care of my grandmother who was about a year old. Her mother, Sarah (Carrie's sister) passed away several days after giving birth. Isaac and Carrie raised her as one of their own. I called her Grammy and didn't learn until I started doing genealogy that she was my great-aunt, not my great-grandmother.

I will send a family group sheet on Abraham and Mary to your email address. It's too much to type. I have done more research on the Martz family that has not yet been entered into my tree. I think I might have Abraham's parents. I spent a lot of time cemetery hunting in central PA back in 2012 but life got in the way and most of my research is still waiting to be analyzed. I have one or two photos of Isaac taken probably in the 1920's and also tombstones.

Thanks for sending me the correction about his parents. Some one just sent me that edit like 2 days ago to add those parents! It's annoying when people just send edits but don't check them. That is why I try to check my edits before accepting them, but this one slipped by me when I clicked to accept anothr edit and this one got added to.

Hi Linda, Since you are related, I have deleted my pending edit for Mary so you should be able to add your information now. My info was that she was born 11 Aug 1918 in PA and died 8 Apr 1987 at Stark co., Oh. I am not related I just came across the info while doing research on someone else - Jody :}

RE: #55568249
I checked the obit for both Esthers.

It's very probable that the death date could have been 1947 on stone and not 1943 that I had, but I still needed to double check. Especially since you had a different birth date as well. But in her obit the birth date is what I transcribed from her stone. So I probably transcribed her death date inccorectly.

I have added the obit and correct dates, with links to tge parents.

I hope that I added all the information you had wanted?
If you have anything more please don't hesitate to let me know!

Have a great day

The dates I have are from the stone. So the dates you sent me are not the same.

I just want to make sure I am as accurate as I can be on the memroial. I found the two Esther's on the altoona library obituary website. There are two ladies with the same name, but with different dates.

I found his death certificate, but it doesn't have his wife's maiden name on it or her dates, just his.

Do you have the 1943 Esther's obit , by chance??

That would really clear this up.

Thanks for posting back to me so quickly.

Have a great day!!

esther martz

there are actually two esther millers that i can find. It looks like the esther i added has the correct dates. The dates you sent me are very different and actually are for someone else with the same name.

i took the dates i added directly from the stone and the ones you sent are just to far off to be the same person.

i see 2 esthers
Esther clair miller martz 10/9/1947
Esther g. Martz 6/8/1943

i think the first one is yours and the second one is the one i entered.

RE: Henry Stover
Wow that took me a while! I'm lucky I can remember May of 2014, let alone something from 2011! SO I checked all the messages I had and looked at hers. I was working on Asbury UM Cemetery in Venango County and she had him listed there as I recall. I have thoroughly photographed the entire cemetery in Venango and had old historical society lists to match up all the graves and I knew he wasn't in that Asbury Cemetery so I looked him up and suggested to her that it might be a different Asbury. She seemed sure it was an Asbury Cem. I believe that Henry was born around Altoona (not sure at this point). That's all I know. I did check out his memorial on here (Find A Grave Memorial# 29535137 and its duplicate Find A Grave Memorial# 13341623) and someone had posted a picture of his stone on both so it must be somewhere! Looks like the same photo on both memorials so maybe whoever did the duplicate lifted the picture from Gail's. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

RE: Verna bell
Well I have no indication where she is interred is my point. You might check cemeteries in Medina County, OHIO which is where she died.

I hope some of this helps.
