Thank you Andrea, for the info sent for Effie. It was very well appreciated and hope I have it correct on her memorial, and I gave the credit for info to you. Have a great day.

Let me get back with you in a week or so. I am on vacation and do not have access to all my information. Will be glad to check on these family members for you.
Thank you so much Andrea. Our tiny branch of the family is on the east coast now. I've always felt close to this part of the family tree and been very interested in them because Anna Fichte Hoffman's daughter Lydia M. Hoffman Hewitt, was the only one of my great grandparents that I ever had the opportunity to know. She lived in San Antonio and during the summers would come to Maryland to stay with her daughter, my grandmother Eleanor Hewitt Metzger allowing me to spend a great deal of time with her each year. I was about 12 when she died and as I was so young and we lived so far away I wasn't able to go to her funeral which is something I've always thought about. In May of this year I finally got to travel to San Antonio and visit her grave while my husband was there on a business trip. I think I was also very drawn to her because of the story of her mother dying so young. Anna was only 29 when she died and my great grandmother Lydia, the youngest of her 6 children was less than 2 years old at the time. My grandmother Eleanor, Lydia's daughter passed away in January of 2013 and she could still remember Lydia's father, Ernst Hoffman and said he was a very kind man. My 6 year old daughter is named Lydia after my great grandmother and without my realizing it at the time was born exactly 29 years, less one day from the day my Great Grandmother Lydia died. It's so nice to talk to you!
Thanks again, Amy

Hi! Thanks so much for the information on Ella Fichte. I had her down on my family tree as one of Gus' children but I didn't have any idea who she married. How are you related to them? My great grandmother was the daughter of Gus' sister Anna. I live in PA and have never met any Fichtes. Could you tell me how you pronounce it?
Thanks so much!
