Gravestone Photo Permission
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of William Alford in Boxwood Cemetery (Memorial# 80241789).

I would like to add this gravestone photo to the non-profit Alford American Family Association's collection of New York Obituaries, where his obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/NYOBIT.htm.

May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:

Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Rebecca [or your full name if you prefer]

And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Best regards,
Pamela Alford Thompson (Find A Grave #47195155)

RE: Carl H Foss - Mount Pleasant Cemetery
Yes, it's exactly what I would have entered had I been able. You need to know that NO ONE can add nor delete anything from your photography.

When adding a "group shot" it's always nice to add who is where in the photo.

Because you're just getting started, may I offer some words of ... encouragement & advice?

When you fill a request, please read the little white "cloud" behind the person's name with the little blue "i" inside it. I recently called an oldtimer on it...he'd been doing this for over 7 years, but didn't read my note asking for "...2 shots...one close up & the other of the full stone for beauty & location"! LOL See? you're never to old to learn and never too young to teach! LOL

I did everything the hard way...by myself a step at a time. I didn't know what that little blue i inside the white cloud was until I accidentally ran over it with my cursor! FCOL

The same way about taking almost unreadable stone photos and handwriting the inscription. Time and effort needed, but it's usually worth it.

KEEP ON KEEPING ON. YOU'RE ON THE RIGHT ROAD!

Thank you for all your help and effort AND for the photos.

Thanks for the group of photos for this couple. I'm using them for my family tree with credit for your work included.

Would you please I.D. in CAPTION under the photo showing his in the foreground and hers in the background?

Thank you again for your effort and time to obtaining exactly what I needed, wanted & now have!

Thanks for adding additional headstone photos (Gardner family) from Mount Pleasant Cemetery! Your efforts are really helping me put the pieces of my tree together. Would it be OK if I attached your photos (with appropriate credit to you) to their corresponding profiles on my tree at Ancestry.com?
