RE: Bryan & Ellen's grave
Hi John,

The cemetery has a road that goes straight up a hill....at the top, the road turns into a small circle...that goes around the top of the hill...

If you make a clock face, of that circle....Byron, Ellen & your grandfather are in the 3 o'clock position (inside, the back part of the circle). There is a McGroarty Memorial stone for William...rectanglular and medium sized...

As you come around the circle...you'll find Charles McGroarty's grave to the left and about in the 5'oclock position (outside the circle)...

FYI...as you drive up the hill...Byron McGroarty's (the politician)grave is located on the left side of the road....about half way up the hill....he & his family have a pretty good size stone...

So...including you Mom's grave....there are four different "McGroarty" grave site's...

When you look at Charles McGroarty's grave site...remember there are at least three people buried with...his wife, daughter & son-in-law..don't think there would be room for any more burials at that site...see what you think...

Once you see, Byron, Ellen & William's graves....think you will see....that, it really does make sense that John & Bridget are buried beside their son & daughter-in-law...especially, since Byron was their only child...curious to see what you think...

It's a narrow cemetery....so, pretty easy to find graves...

Hope you have a nice trip...let me know how it goes...

Charles McGroarty
Hi Jon,

Just wanted to let you know...I added Ellen (wife of Charles), Daughter, Isabel & her husband, Thomas....and son, Patrick McGroarty to St. Patrick's cemetery...

Have added their obits....they were all buried in Inver Grove....so, that wwould be 4 more burials by Charles....wouldn't have been any more room for
John & Bridget...

I'd guess John & Bridget are buried next to Byron & Ellen...there is a good size open area next to them...

Hope this helps,

Barb

RE: Mary Corrigan (McGroarty)
Hi Jon,

I'll have to snoop through my pictures...maybe, I missed that one...not he first time...HA..HA..

Would think your Mom's stone should be placed soon...has been dry all week...supposed to rain late Friday...

Have a few obits for William, Bridget & John...was hoping that their cemetery location would be confirmed..but, unfortunatly, they don't...

If you would like copies of them...just need your email address...

Look forward to seeing your Mom's stone...

RE: new additions
Hi Jon,

Yes...we did take all 900 photo's..

When we out getting the photo's of your grnadmother's grave & a friend's...we drove by the prists & sisters graves...

The nun's graves are all footstones...someone had just dug out around them...seemed to good of an opportunity to photoggraph them...

Was totatlly a fluke...that we happen to get Sister Basil's that day...

We photographed all of St. Patrick's Cemetery in 2010...were pretty careful about trying to get everyone...do you think Mary McGroarty Corrigan could be buried somewhere else? I'll certainly, look around when we take the picture of your Mom's grave..

RE: Thanks
I did create a memorial for Lieut William Bernard McGrorty 132933279.

Take a look at what I've added...

I did create a virtual memorial for John, Charles & William's father...so we could connect the brothers...

Took another quick look around the cemetery for John & Bridget...if they are there...there isn't a stone for them...

Let you know...if I come up with anything new...

RE: Thanks
We stopped at the cemetery on the way home today...and yes, your Mom's foundation is in place, but not the stone...

They must have put up a few others...since we were there last...as there were some we didn't see the other day...

RE: Sister Basil McGroarty, my g.father's sister
Hi Jon,

We just photographed all of the sisters graves toady..just added Sister Basil's grave photo to her memorial.

You might want to change the order of your photo's for her...so her photo is above her grave photo..

Would you believe there are at least 900 sisters buried there from that order...not to mention two smaller orders....priests, brothers and six archbishops...

RE: Billy & Mary
Hi Jon,

I do love a mystery...I live only a few miles from the Dakota County History Society..found her obit easily enough...luckily, the cemetery for her burial was included..

We had a few other pictures to take in that cemetery...so, thought we'd drive over...

At first, I thought I was wrong...as, you could only see the names on the stones...and it appeared her husband was buried next to her (and knew her husband was at St. Pat's)...started doing a little digging...then saw the dates...and knew it was her son & not her husband...yeah!

The Hist. Society had a small folder on "McGroarty" ...nothing new...but, of interest...was an article about a Liet. W. B. McGroty...who drowned in LaCrosse, WI Feb 2, 1865...not sure if he fits in your line...

Really fun seeing the pictures you added...

Did see the picture of your Mom's burial...we must have walked right by her grave...we were looking for the newer graves...to get pictures for finda grave...so, we wouldn't have missed her..

Let me know when her stone is up...will be happy to get a photo for you..

RE: Grave Memorial# 30107894
Hi Jon,

Actually tracked down your grandmother, 132909480

She is buried next to her son, 132909821

She is buried at "Resurrection Cemetery" in Mendota Heights...there are 45,000 interments in this cemetery...

Any chance you have a picture of her to add?

We did stop at St. Patrick's cemetery...added photos for both "Bryan McGroarty."

Never did find graves for John & Bridget McGroarty..

Have you added your Mom's stone....if so, where is her grave located in the cemetery? Is she buried by her father?

Was going to mention...if you would like to get rid of the cemetery photo on a memorial...just click on the picture...and it will, ask you if you'd like to remove the cemetery photo...just click yes...

I have found...that once that cemetery picture gets to the second page...you can't delete it...

I've had to remove the front pictures...to get that cemetery on the front page...than you can delete it.....than just add your pictures again...

You might want to do that for your Mom's memorial...than you'll have an open spot for her grave picture...hope that makes sense..

I always delete the cemetery photo...when I add new memorials..
