Am transfering this memorial to you for the additions you sent to me . Also, his wife. Why was he buried in Georgia if he died in California, and was born in Texas ?

Hi, I saw your edit for Dorothy, and I realized that you are her grandson. Would you like for me to transfer her memorial to you? I don't mind; I am not related, and I went through the cemetery adding pictures and/or memorials as needed to make sure everyone buried there as of 2013 is listed on Find a Grave. Just let me know! :)

Hi again,

You may want to add this to his from Fort Knox Cemeteries by Sam McDowell (1973),which came from article written by Dr. T.B. Greeley in the June 11, 1903 issue of the West Point Beacon:

"Gideon Withers lived on a farm just below the town on the river. They had eight children. Mrs. McCoy, a daughter, lives in the house her grandfather formerly occupied. Mr. Withers was a substantial farmer and an honorable and upright man. He belonged to a prominent family and stood well among his neighbors. He lived to be quite old. The Withers stock came from Virginia."

Mary Polly Withers
Hi,

I have connected Polly with her parents who came to Kentucky from Virginia. If you are not familiar with this process, you will want to click the Edit tab on her memorial to approve this. This information came from the book Fort Knox Cemeteries by Sam McDowell (1973).

RE: Memorials
The best way to give me the info is through the edit tab.

Memorials
Doug,
If you have parents I don't, please let me know & I can either add them or transfer the memorial to you as you'd prefer. If you give me their memorials #'s it makes it easier for me to link them. Thanks.
