I live in Henderson, Rusk County, Texas since July 2002. I was born in Leesburg, Lake County, Florida. I married a Texan got transplanted to Texas. My genealogy research began in the 1980's after my mother passed away. Families researched over the years include Ferguson, Reeves, Jones, Peacock, Von Herbulis, Wittke, Dawson, Holton plus extended families. My research was done the old fashion way going to libraries, archives, courthouse, cemeteries plus family correspondence and interviews. I have been sharing my family research and photos on Find A Grave through volunteers encouragement for the last two years. I began recently to share as a contributor on my own!|
Spouses family information are Buras, Sherman, Yoes, Porrier (mother-in-law info), Crim, Spharler, Engle, Rauch (mother-in-law info). Additional Spharler family information is from Winford George Spharler's First Edition 1986-1993 of The Amazing Spharler Family Album and New World Regisitry.
I was a contributor to a book on my Ferguson family, Tracking the Hunter: Descendants of Nimrod Farguson and Rebecka Hudson, compiled by Elizabeth Newton Lewis and Radford Ferguson Lewis 1998. Chapter (pp. 81-84) on Elizabeth Farguson - Grief Farguson - Thomas D. Ferguson - W.G.H. Ferguson - Wylie Howard Ferguson - Thomas Virgil Ferguson are my lines. At the time my mailing address was Rogers, Arkansas.
I have compiled information on buildings designed by A.O. Von Herbulis.

The cemetery does not mind giving out information to non-family members. I do call on occasion for some graves but I try to not call for repeatedly during the week if I can get the original requestor to call
let me know if you get the plot information

|Tom Owen||Memorial Park in Memphis|
Earlier this year you requested a grave photo at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. This cemetery is quite large and without a plot location it is near impossible to just stumble upon a requested grave.
I am happy to try to fulfill your request though if you will contact the office and ask for the plot location.
Just let me know, or post the plot on the memorial and I will try to fulfill it in the near future
The office can be reached at (901) 767-8930

Hi - I do not own a copy of any edition of the book on cemeteries in Upson County. I believe our local library owns a copy, but I don't happen to know what edition it is. I do own a reprint of the history book on Upson by Nottingham & Hannah, but no mention of your Thomas D. FERGUSON in connection with the cemetery. Good luck - John

There is no information to read. The vaults at Cypress Grove are some of the oldest tombs in the cemetery. They are poorly maintained and in terrible shape. The even numbered vaults (on the other side of the cemetery) are in even worse shape.
There are over 3,000 individual vaults on the West Side (slightly less on the East). Very few have name plaques remaining and most numbers are long gone. There hasn't been a burial in those vaults since probably before 1920.
There are four vaults per column. I had to find the nearest numbered vault and count from there until I found the specific vault. The vault containing the remains of Geraldine Gardes is the second vault from the top of that specific column, with Henry Gerdes directly below her.
I hope this helps.

I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) does not like to provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thanks.
|Glenn Frazier||RE: Luannah Emiline Harp|
I am related to Dixon Harp through his son John L Harp, father of Andrew Jackson Harp. Thank you again for contacting me
|Glenn Frazier||Luannah Emiline Harp|
Thanks for your suggestion, but the 1860 and 1870 census records list her name as Luana and Luanna, respectively. Dixon Harp's actual will spells her name as Luannah. Dixon Harp's will can be found at the Family Search web site and in the book "The Dixon Harp and Allied Families 1763-1993", by Christine Trice Starling. Luannah's birth year according to the 1830, 1840 and 1850 census records puts it at about 1827 which would mean that she was probably born in Upson county. Although she appears to be 5 to 6 years older in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census with her headstone birthdate as Dec 21, 1821 that would mean she was more likely born in Baldwin county.
