Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Kern County, CA. My husband and I are retired. We are family people. My husband and I enjoy walking the local cemetery and taking volunteer photos and appreciate all the photo requests that have been fulfilled for us by volunteers. I enjoy crafts, sewing and baking. We love cooking together and trying out new recipes and we enjoy trips to the beach when we can get away. I'm new to findagrave.com and am enjoying it immensely.
I began my genealogy trek in 1998. My main families of research are: Colebank, Copeland, Corbitt, Dadisman, Summers, Boyd, Jenkins, Doherty/Dougherty, Pennington, Butler, Hulsey, Akers, Medlock, Hughes, Stewart & many more.
You are free to use the photographs I post for your own research or on other sites. I gladly provide them with no strings attached and no copywrite.

Amos and Sarah Jane Akers Summers
Just curious which one of their children do you descend from? I descend from their son James. I would like to know where the part about a A Summers missing from the regiment comes from. My great grandmother Josia who was James daughter said that bushwackers had come to there house and taken him from the supper table and that he was never seen again. Maybe that was how he got recruited.

Erasmus Dadisman
My Aunt Hilda Norma Davidson was born a Dadisman and she loved geneaology-Thank you so much for your fine contribution. She would have been so pleased to be able to read more about her family-and I will add to my research to share with my cousins. You are a treasure!

Dadisman - WVU
Dont know whether you know it or not but there is a Dadisman Hall on the downtown campus of WVU. These halls were normally named after faculty or benefactors.

The Dadisman graves I found were; Lucetta Dadisman 1854-1929 and Newton Dadisman 1842-1931. I will post those pix on Find A Grave. I intend on going back out there to see if I can find the ones you asked about, when its not raining.

Went to the cemetery this afternoon and found only one marker for the Dadisman name, however, I didnt get to spend as much time as I wanted because it started to rain. What information do you have to indicate that the people you are looking for are buried there? Will go back up again to take another look.
