I am willing to be that they are related somehow. Glad I could help!

I posted the photo that I took of the other side of the Harper stone. The family name is Tourtellotte. Are they related to the Harpers? I only put the photo on Ethan and Ann's memorial. I can add it to Ida and her husband too if you'd like.

You are very welcome. I just wish that stone was not so reflective! I tried about 5 different angles and they all photographed the same. There were names on the other side of the stone. I'm not sure if they were important to you or not. Let me know and I will dig out my memory card and post the photo

RE: David Trussell & Shirley
Kathy, Your message was the best message that I have ever received! Tell you Mom that Davidís service to his country was special because out of 30,000 plus buried at Hampton National Cemetery, there are only a very small number that could say they served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Rodney

No problem. That cemetery is tricky to take photos, they have lots of cameras and watch you like a hawk. Plus it's not set up very well. I hope the photo is ok. Happy holidays! Denise

Your requested photos (# 129136432 & 129138228):

You will note that the only inscription on these stones are "father" and "mother". They are located in the same lot as their son, John M. It seems to be the most likely location of their burial...although it could simply be an older marker for John & one of his wives.

I also added the GPS location.

Thanks,

Bill

Hey Kathy

You can use the photos anyway you want to! I am glad you were pleased. I had a great experience with Sister Angela from All Saints Church (they are in charge of the records for Mt. Carmel Cemetery now) so I am thankful to you for that. Have a great day!
