Edward Notkin
I want to thank you for taking the time to submit an edit for Edward Notkin, and also tell you why I declined it. Although the Social Security death index and the Florida death index indicate a birth year of 1916, most of the other records do not. WWI, WWII, and the 1940 census indicate a birth year of 1913. His marriage certificate lists his DOB as 1912, but I chalk that up to him wanting to be older than his bride. If you have other information I'd love to look at it. I'm related to his wife, and if you're family I'd love to connect!
Best,
Alana

John Doody (#148517850)
Thank you so much for providing the parents of John Doody. Are you related? My wife's ancestors are John Doody and Eliza Powers, who came with the Peter Robinson emigration in 1825. While we could not establish any connection with Jeremiah Doody and Margaret Welsh, Doody is a relatively rare name and there is a possibility. Do you have any more information on John Doody's parents?

Thanks. I just want to be sure that it's the same two men she married. I have the records of their marriages, but hadn't looked to find either of them. I have never known her name to include Frances..... she was my grandfather's sister. She would have been my mother's aunt. Her daughter is buried near my mom's older sister and beside her sister Charlotte (Lottie). Wilbur is also there with a temporary marker. I have a feeling that she is also buried there, but I have not found that out to be sure. I would make sense her husband is right next to her sister and niece. I can't tell you if I have her in a 1900 census or not. I'd have to look thru my stuff. I'm not really concerned as I know she was family and know the connection. Thanks again! I don't live far away. Most of my mother's family is buried in Christian Union.

Before I accept the edits I want to confirm them. "Dell" was my mother's aunt. I haven't tried to find either of these two spouses, but what to be sure they are the correct ones. I've had edits sent that I just accepted without question and just in the last month or so I had a distant cousin contact me telling me that his great great grandmother's parents were incorrect (She married my grandfather's brother, so she was family to me). He was right. Someone unrelated had sent me the edits and they were incorrect.... so I'm being really careful. I'd rather not 'connect' people and have them be incorrect and have someone get lost in their family search. I will take the time soon to look these up for myself just because. My mother was from Garrett and also lived as a young girl not far from the Calvary Cemetery. Thanks!

You should have received a comment as to why it was rejected. Please see my profile.

Sorry, but I have no way of knowing if the information given with edits is accurate. Since, FindAGrave, tells me that it's okay to reject undocumented edits I do so.

Since this is your family wouldn't it be better if you take over the memorials by way of a transfer.

Sincerely,

GBNF

Thanks for the info. They are in the wrong cemetery. I sent a message and will delete mine once that is corrected.

Thank you again,
