Sorry for the confusion - info should have been in the bio - from cemetery records.

RE: Carl John Swanson
Hi Darcy,
The two cemeteries are connected and the only way to tell which cemetery you are in is the direction the markers face!! The ones in Mount Pleasant are in rows North - south and the ones in St Anthony's are mostly East- west, except in 1 section which had me totally confused as the markers are in n-s rows and just seem to be a continuation of the rows in M P

According to the A G S list Carl is located in Mount Pleasant, plot H,001,20

The 2 cemeteries on 107 ave have the issue. but there it is worse as there in no signage on the south side of 107 to let you know there are 2 cemeteries, only the direction of the markers and the different fences facing the avenue to give you a clue. Unless you enter St Joachim's using the 105 ave entrance where there is a map! BTW Google maps has these 2 cemeteries labeled incorrectly, and has no name on the 2 you visited.

Hope this leaves you a little less confused.

Hi Darcy

will keep my eyes and ears open.
Have you tried local newspapers to see if any of them were 'newsworthy'?

Hi Darcy

Just checked BC records but only found death records for Steve, Debrah and Helen. If these are names you recognise it might be worthwhile looking in BC

RE: Francis Bertran Wynne
The Alberta Family Histories Society (AFHS) has a website indexing many of the cemeteries in the Calgary and southern Alberta area. It can be found at http://www.afhs.ab.ca/data/cemeteries/search.php.

The City of Calgary cemetery office has the grave location, interment date etc. and you can ask for this information from the office. Their contact information is on the city web site at http://www.calgary.ca/CSPS/Parks/Pages/Cemeteries/Contact-Cemeteries.aspx.

Francis Bertran Wynne was interred on 26 May 1982.

Hope this helps,
Regards,
Ron

Thank you Darcy for the clarification. Please use the "edit" feature and then "Suggest a correction", that way I know exactly which memorial you want me to add the info to.

THX again.
