I'm Donald Thomas Van Tassel, the son of Thomas Stephen Van Tassel and Juanita Harbin. I live in beautiful downtown Chatham, Columbia County, New York which is a hotbed for those pesky Van Tassels. I'm interested anything involving people with the last names Van Tassel, Silvernail, Traver & Wagar on my dad's side and Harbin, Parks & Burt from the deep south on my mom's side (she was hijacked from Alabama by my dad to go live in the frozen north).|
Legal disclaimer type thingy: Please feel free to appropriate anything I post. I'm not really interested in getting credit for anything (wouldn't know what to do with it anyway). I am just happy that I can make information available to anybody who is interested in their family history. Oh yeah, please, please let me know if it looks like I've screwed up. I'd be mortified if something I put out there led some other person astray.
Lastly, if I am managing a memorial for one of your relatives, please feel free to ask me to transfer it. I will be happy to do that as long as it isn't my mom or somebody closely related like that.

Hello Thomas, I submitted an edit request to link her memorial to those of her parents. My grandmother was a Schoharie County Karker, I do research on the family. Thanks for having created her memorial. Paul Turner

Thank you so much for the great photo of Elizabeth Fisher Davidson's headstone. I've been wanting this for years! She was my 2nd great grandmother. Many Thanks, Sharon
