Primarily interested in researching and honoring our WWII soldiers who were killed in action or who are still listed as missing in action. Their sacrifice needs to be remembered and honored. My inspiration for doing this are family members, TEC 5 Edward J. Ackermann (Find A Grave Memorial #24236825); 1st Lieutenant Lawrence M. Edman (Find A Grave Memorials #56289441 & 11307719); and 1st Lieutenant John R. Riisoe (Find A Grave Memorials #56763052 & #11535944).

Thank you Eric for placing memorial token for my Uncle Earl.. I never met him, but my dad talked about his baby brother, and how he joined in WW2 and never made it back home.. Killed on Valentine's day.. so sad.. but thank you for remembering him.

Hey Eric,

Saw how you identified his record with his "Father" residing in the District Of Columbia ... Looks like a good way to word it since his headstone shows "Maryland". :-)

There was another record with a note from you I saw yesterday and the note "really" helped me out a lot in deciding where he was from.

Keep up the "Great Work" my friend ! I appreciate it very much. :-)

I hope I haven't "tick you off" !

Thank you for the work you are doing honoring these soldiers. You posted to my Mom's first husband, Theodore "Ted" Allen that he died non battle, which is correct. Ted was a cadet in Pampa Texas with only four hours left of flight time to graduate when he sprained his ankle which kept him grounded until the day before graduation. He went up to fulfill the requirement to graduate the next day with his class. While in the air there were new cadets beginning their training and one of them lost control midair and collided with Teds plane, killing all four men in the two planes. My Mom and Ted were married only two years and had no children.

Hey Eric,

You are spot on. :-)

The Air Force listed him as being from "Virginia" .... And his enlistment papers "don't" show were he lived when he enlisted.

Thanks my friend, He was indeed from West Virginia!
