About Me: I grew up in Eatonville, Washington, went to school in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and I currently live in California. I've been working on my family's genealogy for several years now. This website has helped me make connections that I may have otherwise missed and I hope that by adding a few memorials I may be able to help others in the same way.|
My Family: My ancestors are from Woodstock, Illinois; Ossian, Iowa; Crawford County, Kansas; Knott & Letcher County, Kentucky; Vernon County, Missouri; Saline County, Arkansas; Duke & Hollis, Oklahoma; San Jacinto, California; and Eatonville & Mineral, Washington.
Some of my family names are Batts, Brockman, Eppel, Garrett, Harris, Hemphill, Holder, Hunt, Logston, Mead, Nelson, Rice, Rose, Shook, Stamper, & Woodard.
Photographs: If I have posted a photo of a gravestone, you are welcomed to use it. If I didn't want other people to be able to use them, then I wouldn't have posted them on the internet in the first place. :)
Edits & Transfers: If you have an edit or additional information then please send it to me by using the edit button on the memorial's page. I welcome edits. Or if I have made a mistake please let me know so I can correct it.
If you would like me to transfer a memorial to you then use the SAC under edits and I will be happy to transfer the memorial. Most of the memorials I've added are for people I don't know and I would rather have those memorials managed by someone who knows about that person and be able update their memorial. Please ask nicely and include your contributor number & your relationship to the person. The only memorials that I won't transfer are my own family; some graves that I've added have some of my family last names but I'm not related to them, so just ask and more than likely I will transfer them. :)

Kendra, You're very welcome. I'm glad you are able to see Edward's tombstones, although very hard to read. Loretta

|LBS||Edward A Woodard, Oakland Cemetery, Woodstock|
Hi Kendra, I am contacting you since I saw your flower on Edward's memorial. I noticed in your profile of your interest in the Woodard family, so I wanted you to know I posted a couple of photos of Edward's tombstones, one civilian and the other military. A quick familysearch.org didn't match him to Calvin and Phebe, and their child Raymond, but he is buried right next to them. Maybe you can make the family links. Thought you would find it of interest. Edward's memorial # is 81322315. Loretta

You can add the memorial page for Rachel. I will look for their obituaries today. If I find them, I will send them using your other email listed on your site. I'm glad the mystery regarding Chester is solved!

I just returned to IL and I checked the Master Cemetery Index at the Bureau County Genealogical Society. Chester was originally buried at Mason but was reinterred at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Princeton, Bureau, IL in 1954. He is buried in Sec: Resurrection, Lot 109, grave 1.
His wife, Rachael is also buried there. She died Jan. 28, 1954. Sec: Resurrection, Lot 109, grave 2.
I saw that there is no information on them on Find A Grave at Elm Lawn Cemetery. It snowed today so I wasn't able to check to see if they have a marker. I will look for their obituaries.

Thanks for getting back to me. I will look for Rachel Ann Hubbard Mead's obituary when I return to IL in March. Even though she may have been living with one of her children at time of death, they may have submitted an obit to one of our local papers. If I find anything, I'll let you know.
I will also contact the caretaker of Mason Cemetery to ascertain where Chester is buried and if perhaps Rachel is also buried at Mason. She hasn't shared her records with me but has answered some of my questions. If I have no idea that people are buried there, it is hard to ask questions about them!!!

btw, I did verify that Chester was buried by checking IL Births and Stillbirths, 1916-1943, before adding his name to the Mason Cemetery Records.

I have been documenting Mason Cemetery for the Bureau County Genealogical Society in Princeton, Bureau Co., IL. We are updating our Master Cemetery Index. I began the project in April and I just completed it, I thought, on Friday, Jan 9, 2015! I was rechecking a burial today and discovered your ancester, Chester! I will add him to the Mason Cemetery and the Master Cemetery index. Chester does not have a grave marker. Do you know if he ever had one? Also do you know where he is buried in the cemetery?
Thanks for posting on findagrave.

I was wondering if you have Nelson family pictures you would be willing to share. I can send you some of the ones that I have. I will send them in a separate email. Thanks.
|Stepen McClellan||RE: Owens|
They are my 4th great-grandparents. What would you like to know about them?
