I am trying to clean up double and triple cemeteries and memorials in Sullivan County, NY. Sometimes that means going through a cemetery stone by stone and checking to see if it already was documented, and entered correctly. It is very easy once you get home with the camera to look at a photo and say, "hmm, is that an 8 or a 3?" That is why so many edits and requests for changes come from me. I love to see everything in place and accurate. I think it is more important to do 2,000 memorials correctly, than to have 4,000 memorials to your credit containing errors and no relationships. I also try to use high resolution when taking photos so we both can see the data better!

Everyone has some family history, it's just that most people know theirs. I can't get my family history, so I am making sure that what you need to research your family tree is documented correctly from the gravestone.

Please let me know of any corrections or relationships that need to be made!

Happy hunting! Adopt a cemetery or two near you and keep history alive! We all can make a difference if we work together!

Catholic Cemetery
Since you are trying to correct errors in the Sullivan County cemeteries, have you noticed that there is a the "Catholic Cemetery" listed for the Town of Highland on route 9W, While the Town of Highland is in Sullivan County, this is not St. Anthony's Cemetery on route 55. R oute 9W is not in Sullivan County. My thought is it must be on 9W in Highland, Ulster County or on 9W in Highland Mills, Orange County. I have tried to notify findagrave .com and have not gotten any response on this.
It must make it difficult for people in one of the other counties looking for the cemetery.

Unfortunately I will not be available on Satuday, but perhaps another time. I would definitely like to go look for it in the near future.

Davenport Cemetery in Neversink
Hello Pat,
I saw that you had uploaded the photo for the Davenport Cemetery in Neversink and I had a few questions. First, I would like to visit it, but have been unable to find an exact address, and have had no luck locating it. Is it along the main road? Also, is it a cemetery that I would be free to visit, or will I have to ask permission from someone? I know some of the smaller cemeteries around here are on family property, and thought it would be best to check on that. If you could get back to me I would be so grateful. Thank you for your time.

Thanks for getting back to me Pat. Could not find James and Agnes' parents on find a grave. They were Robert Watson Jr. and Angeline Maze. Not even sure if they were from Sullivan county. Robert died in Wawarsing though. Anyway, thanks and will hope to hear from Nancy.

Hi Pat, I see that you transferred this name to Nancy Wright. It was in Fulton Cemetery in Sullivan County. I did leave her a message but thought I would leave you one also. I think the above may be my great grandmother's brother. She was Agnes Angeline (Watson) McGregor and is buried in Stewart Cemetery in Bethel (White Lake). I have a lot more info if this is him. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi.

Thank you so much for all of the work you do for Find A Grave. I just looked up my great grandparents Ė Dora and Isadore Meyerson and noticed you are in charge of Dora's memorial.

Would you mind transferring the ownership to me? I am the granddaughter of her son, Israel (Marty) and the daughter of her grandson, Larry (Laurence).

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at this email address.

Once again, I canít thank you enough for the efforts you are making to help preserve the memories of so many loved ones!!!

Best always,
Sandey (Meyerson) Perline

Hi - yes, it's a little confusing. The first line lists her DOD as Dec. 8. Maybe Dec. 12 was her burial. Thanks...

Pat - Have not visited the site in awhile. Just did a transfer for another family member and stumbled on your message.

I would love it if you would do the same for me.

Would the prison nearby have used this ground to bury inmates from the prison nearby?
