Bio

I am currently attempting to validate and record a lifelong collection of information about my family's history, so my children may enjoy it in the future.

I absolutely LOVE "FindAGrave"!! Aside from its many obvious strengths, features, and benefits, the most important thing (to me) is that "FindAGrave" functions exactly like a real data base ... One person, one grave, one entry !! Additions and corrections are reflected system wide.

Thanks to the "FindAGrave" volunteers who have served for years, I was able to locate and link many memorials for deceased family members. I came to realize that "FindAGrave" provides a perfect framework for gathering and recording family history information.

Prior to discovering "FindAGrave", I had become incredibly disenchanted with all of the genealogy sites. My family history was poorly documented, but even worse - all of the blatant errors and conflicting information had been cloned a hundred thousand times! It seemed like people were just trying to "fill in the blanks" in their extended family trees, with NO regard to accuracy, or substantiating documentation.

Please, don't judge me by my "scorecard". During my first year as a member I made over 100 additions or corrections to existing family member memorials. I also located and linked over 50 family members to their parents and/or spouses, and notified appropriate managers of over a dozen duplicate non-family memorials.

It wasn't until I added a memorial for my grand-father, that I was credited as a "contributor". But that's OK - I didn't join to earn points. My goal is to set the record straight.
