RE: Happle Great Grand Children
Paul, I am sorry. I moved out of state since taking the pictures. I don't have any other pictures on my computer for that cemetery either. Denny

Sarah Mills
Sarah and Alexander Mills are already linked - someone must have done that. Perhaps I did?? Can't remember, any way hope it is correct now. Ruth

I have since found memorials (& linked them) for his parents and also his bio, etc. However, have not found anything for spouse. Do you know if she is deceased. According to his Bio she was living when he passed in 2011.

Do you have a link to memorial pages for his parents & spouse or did you want me to add them as a notation on his memorial page?
Thanks, Jeanie

Mills Family
In adding information to a memorial page that I created for Sarah Mills B. 1852 D. Jan 7, 1892 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. (Memorial #116490524) I found she may have been the wife of Alexander Mills B. 1851 and died March 13, 1912 (memorial #136698515). The dates fit and on your memorial page for Alexander you stated he was married to a Sarah Mills. Do you think this could be the right person? If so I would be glad to "link" them. Also would be glad to transfer Sarah's page to you since you are most likely related. Please let me know.
I am not related - just a volunteer who took pictures of all the graves at Fairmount where she is buried and am now trying to add dates and places.

Viola and Clara

I think I've figured out the cemetery from the directions you sent. It looks like St. Mary's Cemetery would be it.

Go to the Find A Grave page for St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. Then click on the tab that says Map.

Back out a little so that you can see Kingshighway on the left side of the map. From Kingshighway, go east towards SEMO. St. Mary's Cemetery will be on the left, just like your directions said.

I'm not sure this link will work for you, but you can try. You'll most likely have to cut and paste the following:

Let me know what you think. By the way, who gave you the directions to the burial place?

You're getting closer and closer to finding out the name of the cemetery! Thanks for keeping me up-to-date on your progress.

Viola and Clara

So you were able to find out Viola and Clara share a headstone? Do you have the name of the cemetery where they were buried?

I went to the library and looked up Viola's obituary a couple of weeks ago, but it said "interment private" and didn't give the name of the cemetery.

If you can let me know where they are buried, I can change their memorials on Find A Grave.

Viola Stike Smith

More good news. I found an obituary for Viola A. Stike Smith. It was published on page B5 of the 01 Jul 2002 edition of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. This is available on microfilm at the main branch of the St. Louis County Library. The library is the one located on Lindbergh across from Plaza Frontenac.

The librarians in the genealogy department will help you find it if you have any trouble.

I added a memorial for Viola (#143930077) to Find A Grave. Please let me know if the obit gives the cemetery and I will add it to her memorial.
