Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on a Fraley/Friley/Frailey/Freiley (and associated names) surname project since 2001. At that time, Find-A-Grave was in it's infancy, but now it is helping in immense ways, and I wish to contribute where I can. I have no problems visiting cemeteries, and am a computer professional with a photo habit that goes back to childhood. I am a stickler for accuracy and have been providing corrections for various published genealogy sites and researchers since the 1990's. With over 30 years of genealogy experience, and a surname-study approach to clear up record confusion (including creating custom software and winnowing data records to remove "noise" data), I feel I am somewhat unique in my efforts to document my surname--I am interested in any American with the Fraley or derived surnames, regardless of my relation. While I sometimes work on other branches of my family history, I much more prefer the source-based approach rather than just the pursuit of my ancestry (which is basically completed, but we all know it never ends). I like to step in for those newbies that are searching for their ancestors via the surname forums--and give them as much as I can to help them in their quest. We are all in this together, on this clement planet we call home.

Currently I'm working on digitizing the handwritten index to Olivet Cemetery, in Moorefield, West Virginia, with the help of Fraley Funeral Home and the caretakers of Olivet, who have painstakingly indexed the entire cemetery.

A quick note about photos I post: Use them any way you wish, they are public domain, I don't want to put shackles on anybody's family research.
I take the photos as a gift. Consider them as such!

You show no cemetery for the memorial. Her obit says interment will be at Lilly Cemetery, Flat Top, WV.

Thank you so much for the headstone of my grandmother Marguerite Charlton. I never met her as she died when my mom was only 8 yrs old. My mom passed this year and im trying to find out more about my ancestors....I truly do appreciate it.

Heavner family
Still looking for the site of Malinda Heavner, indications are it is also in that cemetery if you happen to take a trio out there again, might be on the same stone as her husband Jesse which is also in that cemetery. Thanks again for what you have already given me.

RE: Transfer request for memorial id: 121162718
We currently live outside of Washington DC, but we are heading to Knights Inn in Ghent for the Memorial Day weekend. We are planning to attend the Shrewsbury Family Reunion on Sunday, May 25 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Basin. I want to photograph that cemetery, too, but not where there are so many people present. Maybe we could meet?

Hi Jerry, Nice to meet you. I have transferred your grandmother's memorial to you. My husband grew up with your mom and her family. Ask your mom if she remembers Bruce Greene from Greene's Curve on Odd Road. BeeBee and Basil live in the house my husband grew up in. Small world, isn't it?
