Was his parents Daniel & Dradiann Holland? My Great Grand Daddy was Gilbert Holland brother to Daniel Holland. Thank you for your reply.

I filled this photo request in Evergreen cemetery Makanda, just wanted to let you know because the website isn't sending out emails to notify folks the past few days.

RE: Ann Holland vs Mary Ann Berry Holland
Yes, They are the same. Icy Frances, my husbands cousin, had the markers made and placed there.

Dorothy Holland
Dee, I just finished another search for any records for Dorothy. I was unable to come up with a date for her passing. s it possible that she may still be living? She would be 91 years old.

The reason that I raise this question, some people that search cemeteries and create what I refer to as wholesale memorials, do so and make the assumption that because a tombstone is present with a person's name on it, that they have passed. In my research, I have found two such cases where the person whose name is on the monument is still living. In fact some people that have pre-purchased a burial plot, also go ahead and select and purchase their monument ahead of time and have it set or their spouse has passed and the monument to be shared already has the surviving spouse's name already on the monument so that when he or she passes, the only remaining thing needed is to add the date of passing.

The only other suggestion that I can make is to call Greenlawn and confirm the inturnemnt.

Kindest regards,

T.C. Burns

Dee, thanks for your reply. As you can see, she does share a monument with her husband. I would suggest that first, see if you can determine the date of her passing. Next, send a request to the manager of her memorial, David Woody, requesting that Dorothy's and Burnie's memorials be linked. Finally contact the person that photographed the monument and get him or her to also attach a copy of the same photo to Dorothy's memorial.

That would then clean up and make everything tidy and complete. Meanwhile, I will check one more source and see if I can help you with the date of Dorothy's passing.

Dee, I would like to claim your request, but lately, Greenlawn has not been too cooperative with fulfilling requests for locations of burial plots. Would you happen to know the plot number for Dorothy Holland. If I can get that plot number, I can get you a photo very quickly. I have a plot map with all of the numbered plots mapped out.

RE: Dorsey and Blanche Holland Corrections
Oh please feel free to use whatever pictures you'd like. That's what they're there for.

So how is Mark related to them? I wonder how closely we are cousins. Dorsey was my g-grandfather and Blanche was my great-aunt.

Dorsey and Blanche Holland Corrections
Well hello, cousin! How in the world did you know about Dorsey and Blanche? Dorsey was my dad's grandfather and Blanche was my grandfather Fred's sister. We stayed with her every summer in Eva when we would visit from Arizona and I remember she always had the most amazing garden. She was such a sweet lady.

Hope you are doing well.
