Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been a member for a couple of years now.

I have been researching my family history for about 10 years. Our Kendall's were some of the first people to settle in America having come here in the 1640's to MA. My 4X GGrandfather was a soldier in the revolution. I am a member of Ancestry.com and maintain my family tree on that site. My goal is to collect all information which substantiates the connections and provide detailed source references.

Find a grave has been invaluable in that quest.

RE: Lawnridge Cemetery
I started doing it more because I request photos myself and I feel that I need to put in work just like other people do. I have had some great people that did some research for me without me even asking. I don't get back home very often so every little thing helps when you do your genealogy. There are definately some wonderful people on this site that will go out of their way.

James William Kendall and Eleanor Kendall are buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Winnebago. The care taker is emailing me the map of the cemetery with the location of their graves marked. I will be heading to Rockford in the next few days to pick out flooring for my kitchen so I will take the pics for you. She did tell me the graves do have headstones.

Lawnridge Cemetery
Found Lucy and Levi Kendall. I'm transferring all the memorials to you that I added for the Kendall's and Davis'. Jennie did die in childbirth as u expected along with her daughter. There is also a set of twins (WH & SE Davis) that died in childbirth in 1893 but not sure who the parents are. The headstone is exactly like Earls. They were buried between Earl Davis and Elizabeth L Davis.

May have had alittle break through. The Levi Kendall that I told you that the cemetery website said died in 1989, the date on the website is May 1st 1989. I am wondering when the info was put on the website if the year was types in wrong because the Levi you need died May 1, 1891. Same month and same day. It's in the older section and the website shows William H, Jeannie, Hattie, Earl and Elizabeth Davis in the same Plot section, block, and Lot and all the graves are right next to the Levi. There are 2 grave numbers in that row that's re not on the list.

I am planning on going tomorrow as long as the weather is decent so hopefully there are headstones and Lucy is in fact there.

RE: Lawnridge Cemetery
Definately. Send me the list. I spoke to the caretaker and he informed that back in the early 1900s unless the family notified the town of the burial sometimes their names didn't go into a file and the records that they have on the cemetery onine site are only of what is recorded and also that alot of errors from lack of being able to decipher people's handwriting happened back then. I am planning on going to the cemetery tomorrow or Thursday to fulfill other people's requests so if I have your list by then. I will work on it also.

Regarding Lucy Kendall, the cemetery does not have a record of her being buried at lawnridge. They only show 3 Kendall's that are buried there: 2 Levi's (one that passed in 1881 and one in 1989)and Daphne. DI'd she remarry after Levi or do you know her maiden name as she may be buried under that name instead of kendall. I looked where Levi and Daphne was to see by chance if she was right there and headstone was hard to read but all the headstones near them are readable and she wasn't there.
