If I happen to have a memorial that belongs to a family member of anyone out there, please let me know. I will happily transfer memorials to family members AS LONG AS they are not family to me as well. My main purpose is to provide as much information as possible for the people whose memorials I have in the event that their family is trying to locate such information.

RE: Lydia Ponder Roberts
I believe Wash Roberts is buried in Winfield, TN.
The Carl Kidd Cem is located south of Hwy 92 on the Baldy Rd. Headed west on 92 from McCreary Co, your turn is on the left just before the Rocky Branch school house. Follow the Baldy Rd nearly to its end. The lane to cemetery will be on your right. This lane takes you directly to cemetery.

RE: Lydia Ponder Roberts
Apparently someone has taken it upon themselves to change the name and date of Wm Bailey Roberts, spouse of Lydia Ponder in Carol Kidd Cemetery list. I'm glad you spotted this, I will return it to original information.

RE: Lydia Ponder Roberts
Lydia Ponder Roberts is my ancestor as well. She's my 4 X grt grandmother. I am related to most of the people in the Carl Kidd Cemetery either directly or indirectly. Family members still take care of the cemetery.
So for now I'll retain her memorial. But feel free to add anything that pertains to her or our Roberts/Ponder family history. You are aware that her husband Wm Roberts & perhaps his father are also buried there?

I moved James Tucker to the same Davis cemetery as his wife Dovie. I'm not family and would be willing to transfer James Ticker to your care if you like. Please let me know.

DeAndra, I will get those transfers to you in a day or so. I am in the middle of something so don't have time to do them just yet. I might do some of them tomorrow.

RE: Francis Asberry Creekmore
Thanks for the info. In checking my database I find that there is a difference in death location.

My records for his death indicate he died in Knoxville, Knox, Kentucky and not in Campbell Co., TN and it states.
Death Date: 27 Mar 1941
Death Place: Knoxville, Knox, Tennessee
Burial Date: 29 Mar 1941
Burial Place: Pine Knot, KY
Cemetery Name: Pine Knot

My source for this death location is: Tennessee, Deaths and Burials Index, 1874-1955 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Operations, Inc., 2011.
Original data:
"Tennessee Deaths and Burials, 1874-1955." Index. FamilySearch, Salt Lake City, Utah, 2009, 2010. Index entries derived from digital copies of original and compiled records.

I also viewed the death certificate and the informant was his wife; however, the cause of death was signed by the attending and death was a result of an industrial accident while he was at work in Dean, Tennessee. He fractured his vertebrae, a left leg and the right side of his ribs, and haemopneumothorax - pneumonia.

I looked up this last and it is a medical term describing the combination of two conditions: pneumothorax, or air in the chest cavity, and hemothorax (also called hæmothorax), or blood in the chest cavity. A hemothorax, pneumothorax or both can occur if the chest wall is punctured. It is obvious to me that there was a mine collapse or disaster and as a result. There were probably many men who were killed or wounded in the accident.

He died at Ft. Sanders Hospital which is in Knoxville. It also indicated that his usual place of residence was Dean, Tennessee. I believe that this town no longer exists.

I've tried researching for coal mine accidents around his date either in Kentucky or in Tennessee and wasn't able to locate anything on line. So his death, at this point is a mystery.

Your source appears to be coming from a funeral home and the information most likely was provided by a family member to the funeral home and perhaps the way the question might have been worded to the informant might have been interpreted to be his "usual" place of residence rather than where did he die.

Your information stated:
"Francis Asbury Creekmore 05 Jun 1915 in Whitley Co KY, son of Jasper Creekmore and Mary Taylor. He was born 14 Sep 1895 in Whitley Co, KY (Source: Transcribed by Betty VanOver Collins, Martin Funeral Home 1929-1975.), and died 27 Mar 1941 in Campbell Co, TN (Source: Transcribed by Betty VanOver Collins, Martin Funeral Home 1929-1975.)."

Anyway, there appears to be confusion between sources about place of death, but I believe the death certificate speaks for itself. Again, thanks for sending me this curious information. The mystery surrounding his death continues.
