Bio Photo New to Find A Grave. Recently been deep into my family's genealogy and was pleasantly surprised to find ancestors' graves photographed here. I decided that I would like to be able to offer the same good feelings, so I decided to sign up as a photo volunteer. Looking forward to helping when I can!

**Note: If I add a grave photo to a memorial that already has a grave photo, it is usually just because I have a higher quality image or one that is more clear. Not trying to step on anyone's toes, except, perhaps, from time to time I might inadvertently trod on the toes of the dearly departed ;)

RE: Welcome
That would be great if you want to work on Fairmount. The sections that have been chosen are 1-2-6-7-22-25-35 the civil war area and the potters field area. If you get a historical map from the office it is easier to see the areas. Look and see what area you want to do and let me know and I will mark it on my map. Keep in touch. I will be back in town next week. Have fun! I am entering photos and asking at the office if I cannot read them. Other's like to work more with the records and add plot locations. I add the section like 'Lawn 1' unless know more. TTYS, Thanks again! Rosalie

Hi Frances,
Welcome to our area Find a Grave. Thanks for picking up the request at Fairmount. I wanted to let you know that a few of us are taking Fairmount Cemetery section by section and photographing it and entering the memorials and photos. If you are interested in working with us and claiming a section to do, let me know. I can let you know which are taken! There are over 70,000 there and we are making a dent! My goal is as we accomplish this one then we can start on the other huge cemeteries here in Spokane. Welcome again and happy shooting! Rosalie

RE: Thank you!
Frances, Not a problem. Just let me know. Anytime or anything. The only way to figure anything out is to do it. Stepping on toes is not great but it does happen. Enjoy this great weather! Sue

RE: Grave Photos
You need to take a look at the Find A Grave Rules, and then follow them. It is disrespectful, unless you are adding something new.

thomas, unknown
The photo you attached to Find A Grave # 21174058 -- Susan Thomas is the same photo attached to Find A Grave # 21173802. There are five "Thomas" Find A Grave Memorial numbers at Woodlawn Cemetery, all created by NW Mountain Man in 2007. The unknown grave memorial, I asked for a photo of, Find A Grave # 2117058 is not Susan Thomas, apparently. I'd suggest you take down the photo. Mountain Man says "Unknown Thomas" is located in Plot: L37 G12. The other two that have that same Plot and Grave number are Lula E. THOMAS Bonnell and Armenda GOULD Bonnell -- which would suggest two wives of Mr. Bonnell. The only two Bonnell's listed on the Find A Grave Cemetery Registry at this cemetery are the two wives, not the husband. I was searching for a Thomas family in Spokane. To date this appears not to be the right Thomas family for me. Thank you for you help, you are appreciated.
