I have been doing my families' genealogy for about 10 years. I started searching because our children had asked what countries our families had come from originally. And since I love solving puzzles, I began searching and connecting. The more I found the more I wanted to know. I found myself tracing ALL the members. It really does get into a lot of "branches" on the old family tree.

I found that Find A Grave was a great resource with many leads to follow. After contacting a member with a question about a relative of mine, we discovered that we were distant cousins and have enjoyed keeping in touch. She convinced me to join Find A Grave and I am thrilled with the experience. It not only provides me with information but gives me a way to help others in their search. I have gathered quite a lot of information and am now enjoying sharing it.

B Long
Hi Linda,
As you can see I transferred your Brim's to you and happy to see all the conections. I'm related to many people in the Boston cem but not the Brim family. Glad to help. Bev

I wanted to also let you know of the New Feature on the site, They have the Auto Edit! Now when you Press the "Edit" button you can make these changes yourself, Dates and places of births and death and also Link the spouse and or parents and add any nick names or middle or maiden names. to any memorial.
Then it is sent to the contributor for approval which only takes a second to do. This was created to help with the large volume that some of us gets on a daily basis.
This has helped me so much as I would get over 40 to 60 per day...

Hope this helps and if you need anything just holler.

RE: Transfers
HI Linda,

You are so welcome, and if you need anything please let me know. I have been researching for 20 years and have done alot in this area as well, I have tons of family in this area but none among the living.

Have a Great Day!

You may want to read the find a grave guidelines on Transfers, I try to stick kinda close to them. Although I may bend on some, however I don't like to go to far from the guidelines. Great Uncles and And Sons of great Uncles is not even close.

I am always happy to transfer Grandparents and parents and aunts and uncles, and brothers & sisters but when it comes to cousins once removed or 2 times removed I do not like to transfer those.

I feel transfers should be to close family as the guidelines lay out.

I will be happy to add any data within 24 hours, The new Auto Edit makes it real east to update any memorials and link as well.

I am also happy to add any Obits to any memorial quickly.
