Anna Allis
Dear Jan, Because I cannot find the paperwork which indicated Anna Marsh Allis to be buried next to her husband in Hill Cemetery, I have changed her location to "unknown". If you are certain she isn't buried there, then thank you for passing this information on to me! Charlet

RE: Transfer #121885009?
If you use these coordinates on Google maps you will see an aerial of the burial area

RE: Transfer #121885009?
Make that 'low cost' not 'low cast'

RE: Transfer #121885009?
The term pay grave at Magnolia refers to low cast single plots that were in certain squares of Magnolia and Little Magnolia Cemetery. They are in rows 10-14 plots wide, and shoulder-to-shoulder/head-to-toe. There is one section in Little Magnolia 6 plots wide that was for stillborn and very young infants. All of the plots were filled in date-sequential order.

There is no headstone - the photo shows the general area where the unmarked pay-grave lies.

The Hill Cemetery in Hatfield
Jan,
Terrific job of uploading the cemetery grave markers and inscriptions. I am very familiar with this cemetery; it is filled with family members. Markers before 1725 (when stone replaced wood) are almost non-existent in this old cemetery. Is it possible to upload the spreadsheet to the Hill Cemetery main site so that researchers have realistic expectations? Good work and thanks so much! Bonnie

RE: Elijah Dickinson 1817
In this case, there can be two memorials for a person and so you should create one for him at Hill Cemetery and I will make a notation on mine that it's a cenotaph at Main Street. To make things less confusing, why don't you remove your photograph from mine and add it to the new memorial. Thanks for letting me know.

Name incorrect
Hi. My grandmother's name is listed as Sadie Knight Nilo, actually Sadie Kintzel Nilo. Can you tell me how to have this corrected?

Thanks

Jonathan Cowles
Thank you for letting me know that I posted the wrong picture for Jonathan Cowles' grave. I see that now as I look closer at the picture.

I'm excited to hear that you are mapping the cemetery. I would love to have a copy of the map when completed. I have many ancestors buried there. I make a trip from California each year to New England and often stop by Hatfield to pay my respects. I descend from John Cowles who died in 1675 and has the large marker by the road.

You can email me at ptreemaker@sbcglobal.net

Thank you again.
