RE: Moffat cemetery
Much appreciated ... I check frequently for Portei (misc spellings of the surname), so may spot them as you get to them.

older stones definitely a challenge - I've got other records which confirm dates; thanks for adding them (& photos)

I believe one or all of them are tied into my husbands LITTLE family. Also in that cemetery.

RE: Palin & Cook - St Lawrence
Thanks so much for taking the photos of the Palins' gravestone and looking for the Cooks' gravestone too. I really do appreciate your taking the time. Since the Palins are our only direct ancestors whose death in the Old Word was already documented by this website, your photo was special. The others left the Old World such a long time ago that it's doubtful there are any visible remains of their gravestones.

AAW

PS The Cooks' date of death is accurate: note the Manchester Times newspaper article that I included on their memorials about the funeral following their sensational double murder. So the death dates for burials in that cemetery must have been downloaded from some sort of official record.

Cheery Hello Peter!
I was quite excited to see the photo you took at Wedmore! The Magistrate was a great grandfather to me, and I am thrilled to discover you taking photos of tombstones in the UK! Cannot thank you enough! Your work will help many!
