RE: Asemus Rambach
Hi Christine,
I found his headstone a couple years ago while searching for my relatives. The correct name of the cemetery is called the Ridge Churches Union Cemetery. At one time it was called St Pauls Union Cemetery. There are three cemeteries at that location and they're often confused. The cemetery picture on Asemus' Find A Grave page is incorrect. It's actually one of the other two cemeteries at the site. I found him by using 1946 cemetery records that I found on the Internet. I found headstones of people who were in his row and figured his was the one I took the photo of. I could be wrong because there's another one without an inscription nearby. His stone is very eroded and there's nothing on it now, but back in 1946 the front was probably still intact.
Send me your e-mail address and I can send you a the cemetery records, and hand-drawn maps of the cemeteries. If you have GPS the address for the cemeteries and churches is 108 Dutch Hill Road, Latrobe, PA. The actual name of the town near the cemeteries is Trauger.
My e-mail is
Regards! Karen
