Were Joe Hoff Sr # 9582806 and Ottilia Froelich, Hoff # 9582836 the parents of Herman Hoff # 94663974?

Thank you for posting the pictures.

RE: Grave Marker
Please keep the stone, I think I have a Brandt relative that will be willing to come and get it. He lives just outside of Sioux Falls. I will work on trying to set up something with him. We are a 2 day drive from Sioux Falls. We went back there last year for a reunion, and it may be a couple of more, before we get there again :) I will ask for your address after I get a response from our Uncle Dan. Thanks Odette. As for the name spelling? I don't know. His grandfather spelled it Asmus, I have only seen it as Amus? I am not sure how it was spelled originally. Thanks for your help and interest.

RE: Grave Marker
I have no one to reach from that line. I have tried to find someone. It likely was an original stone, that was replaced by the one in Gilman Cemetery in Ashton, Osceola, IA. I think the best thing may be to place it with Hans and Mary Rehmke in the Woodlawn Cemetery there in Sioux Falls, SD. This would be his uncle and aunt. Otherwise it would need to go to the Gilman Cemetery where his new stone is. I don't have anyone who could do that until maybe sometime this summer? When my husband's parents return to Sioux Falls. Sorry Odette

Just wandering
Hello Tove.
Welcome to FindAGrave!
I have heard you're of German-Russian descent and have visited Ukraine some years ago, so I'm just wondering if you speak/read/write Russian/Ukranian. People knowing these languages are rare to meet here.

Take care.
