|DonnaH||RE: Early American War Veterans Cemetery in Barnwell SC|
I'm so sorry I didn't see this question until today. As far as I can tell this 'cemetery' is a memorial site but it looks like a small cemetery. Go to http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GScid=2394449&CRid=2394449&pt=Early%20American%20Wars%20Veteran%27s%20Cemetery& to see the roadside marker explanation about the courthouse that was down the dirt road nearby. There is a link there to all of the names on the markers. The stones are all placed close together in a row at the edge of the trees on a corner of SC Rt 3 and a dirt road that is gated. You might be able to find more information at archives.sc.gov. I have a few photos of some of the markers if you would like to see them.

As a fellow find a grave photographer, if you will go out during the middle of the day when the sun is shining down from above on the face of the monument, you will be able to read every word and take the best photo.
Thanks for all of your help. You are appreciated.

Thank you for all of the photos of the Carters and Quicks in McLucas Cemetery. I was really hoping J.F. Quick [wife of Amanda (Grooms) Quick] and Adva (Quick) Carter [She is listed beside her parents, J.F. & Amanda Quick] had headstones there. Perhaps the headstones have deteriorated.
I appreciate your doing this for me. I have struggled long and hard to find my father's ancestors. I am happy for any thing I can get.

Thank you for adding the photo of William's gravemarker to findagrave. I appreciate it very much!
