RE: Isn't Mary J Bruer the same person as Maria Mai Bruer Feld?
Find A Grave will not allow me to edit out the siblings, (i.e., Maria Mai Bruer Feld (1871 - 1889)**) or the relationship (half-siblings) as I did not add that information to the memorial. Apparently, it is generated automatically when linking child to parents. In lieu of that, I have quoted your research in the "Note" section for Mary M Bruer Felt's Memorial #120376993 and credited you.

I hope this clarifies the issue for future generations. Excellent research, Kurt! Find A Grave is a great service but if we can't rely on its accuracy, then it is of little use or, worse, only serves to muddy the ancestral waters.

Regards ~Maureen

RE: Isn't Mary J Bruer the same person as Maria Mai Bruer Feld?
Kurt, I do see what you mean now. All I can say is that Memorial #120376993 is based on info on the headstone and the accompanying photo is the 'proof.' That photo was taken in the IOOF Cemetery, Adams Twp., Allen Co., IN. Memorial #77808224 for Mary J. Bruer Felt states the deceased is interred in a different cemetery located in Marion Twp., Allen Co., IN but has no photographic 'proof.' I have no control over that one. As for the half-sibling relationship, that apparently is generated automatically by Find A Grave.

I agree the data is suspect. I am happy to delete or correct any information for which I have edit ability. Please let me know if there is anything I can do or if you would like to take over management of #120376993. ~Maureen

I don't know. I didn't create nor do I manage either memorial. All I did was fulfill a photo request made for Mary J. Bruer interred at the IOOF Cemetery in New Haven, IN. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I suggest you contact the two people who created the memorials. Good luck!

Heinrich Behrmann
Thank you for your message concerning Henry B. he is also my ggg grandfather. I went into my files on ancestry to take a look. While the document comes up on ancestry with the 1854 date, when I look at the actual document magnified it looks more like 1856. I believe I did research that more either on the Internet or in the Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center in Fort Wayne IN, but I would have to get into my hard copy files to verify that.

Also, some collaborative research I did with cousins about a year ago From me St. Louis, Fort wayne, Hawaii, and Germany...we finally figured out that the older Fritz was not Heinrich's father but his uncle, and I have had contact with his descendents in Fort Wayne. I think I changed my ancestry tree with that new info, but I didn't remember to correct it on Find a Grave, so I will do that soon!

Thank you and blessings on your research. If I can be of any more help let me know. If you send your email address to me I can invite you to see my tree.

My line is :
Henirich, Fred., Fred, Marguerite Bearman Arnos, my mom, Me.
