Thanks for your reply. Yes you would show up on the 5th with a camera. As for cleaning tools, I would suggest a broom for sweeping off flat to the ground stones and a sturdy spray bottle that can be filled with water.

When I first started doing this sort of work I did some minimal cleaning to bring out the name, dates, and any epitath in place. But once I learned that the FAQ says its better to leave a stone 'in situ' (in other words as found) I've altered how I clean.

I like to take a 'overall' shot that has a standing stone at a angle that shows two sides of it and the entire stone from top to base. Then I take close up shots of the name, dates, and any epitath. Flat to the ground stones its a 'overall' shot, trying to avoid casting shadow on the stone or getting sun glare on the stone. Then close ups.
