I grew up with a mother who taught me that knowing and passing on family history was important. Also, with my paternal grandmother who drug me to every funeral in the county (a lot since we were related to everyone) I would spend the time playing in the cemeteries next to churches. Figure that is why I love exploring old small town cemeteries so much. Always been teased, esp by my kids and grand kids about how my times are in cemeteries. I wish I had been taking photos of headstones all these years so could add to the great collection here.
