RE: Heny Oliver Wood
Hi, sorry I am only just now responding to your query about Louisa Wood but I have been ill and gave myself a break from genealogical research!

I have not yet made a memorial for Louisa Serfling at findagrave because I would like to confirm first that she is indeed the Louisa, daughter of Christine and John, to which I am related. Most of the information I have was posted at the various Serfling sites and then the memorial pages of her children.

A quick search of the Colorado records shows that a Louisa E. Wood died in 1909 in Pueblo County. That document and her marriage license may shed some light on whether or not she is Christine's daughter but I have yet to procure them.

If you would like to check for Colorado records, google: Colorado Index Historical Records; and, you will get the Colorado State Archive where they are continually updating records. E.g., the death record was not indexed the last time I checked several months ago.

For the information I have on Louisa, check my memorial page for Christine Serfling and the bit of information I have is listed there. If I find any more information on her, I will let you know.

Also, if Henry married a second time, I invite you to create memorials for his second wife and any children. If you don't want to join findagrave, you could send me the info and I could create the memorials for you (giving credit to you of course!).

Finally, if you are a member of findagrave and would like me to transfer Henry Wood's memorial and those of his children to you - just say the word (I am related to Louisa and not Henry).

Thanks for contacting me. Any and all collaborations on what can be vexing research is always helpful!

Wood FAG request
go to montgomerysteward.com
They have a listing of burials at Mt. View.
There is no other Wood buried in Block H.
No marker for your Wood. I will take a picture of the lot when the sun is in a better position.
This morning it was too shaded to see the lot.

Henry Wood
Brad has photographed all of the headstones in the "letter"blocks of Mt. View Cemetery. This includes Block A- Block Q. So, unless he missed it, there is no headstone for Henry Wood.
I will check, just in case.
go to pueblolibrary.org and under search on the home page, click on obit index. Search for an entry for him and if you get a hit, you can request a free copy of the obit from the library.
