Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching the PRATHER and associated families for 30+ yrs and manage a Prather genealogy site. With the growth of "social media" we created a FACEBOOK page, too, for the exchange and dissemination of family information. As a retired aerospace worker, I can now dedicate more time to the hobby.

The latest is to use DNA testing to substantiate our traditional genealogy research. If you want details, email me.

RE: Ross/Elliott
I don't think I could be of any help as I do not have any pictures of Frances but I will send you an email. In 1907, my Frances would have been about 25.

RE: Michael Dota
I always think it's a bit sad when the family doesn't at least put a name plate one the grave. How much could it cost for those plastic temporary ones?

I added a photo from the location of Michael's grave but there is no marker.

Michael Dota
I suspect that Michael's grave is unmarked as I have photographed the entire cemetery. Obviously, it's also possible that I missed it. I've been having problems getting more information from the cemetery office (which is actually the City of Kirkland). I have been told that Michael is buried in Block 22, lot 140, grave 8, but none of the sections are marked and I don't have any maps for that area of the cemetery. I have further been hampered by illness, a broken vehicle and the holiday. I will pursue this more aggressively next week and hopefully be able to determine for sure whether or not the grave is marked. Do not give up and I will let you know how my search goes.

I hope that you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

RE: Dorothy E Prather Gentry
I wish I could help you. I spoke with Dorothy's daughter this evening. She does not have the records and not sure what has happened to them. She does remember a cousin Donnie but not much about him. She had very little contact with the Prather's growing up. Her grandmother Vienna and grandfather Marvin had been divorced for a long time. I'm sorry we couldn't have been more helpful.

RE: Dorothy E Prather Gentry
One of Dorothy's daughters is my (step) mother-in-law. Are you related to the family? I noticed your last name is Prather.

I just uploaded another photo of the stone. The date looks more like 1838 than 1888. I thought this might help, in case you have an ancestor who was born in, or died in, 1838.
