RE: Nelson Shipley
Hi Danielle
I actually think that the language is English but it was just carved by hand by someone who wasn't good at it lol. A lot of the stones there were carved in the same style. Wish I could help you more but I really don't know much about the folks buried there. I was on a weekend get-a-way down to Southern Indiana and found the cemetery (wasn't easy by the way!) The people running the Story Inn told me about it

RE: Harriet Adeline McClarey
Dear Danielle,
I would love to help you with your school project. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, but we have been traveling. When is the project due ? What is the assignment ? What grade are you in ?
Harriet Adeline was an older sister to my grandmother, Julia Ann McCleary Cromlich. Mother was the oldest child of the eight children of Julia and Charles Omar Cromlich.
You have probably already realized that the surname has been spelled many ways - McCleerey, McCleary, McLary and so forth. I have quite a bit of information going back to 1700s that I can share with you. Please reply to this e-mail, so we can start a personal correspondence and complete your assignment.
Glad to hear from you.
Your new cousin,
Pat
