Catherine Stanton at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, CA
Hi Barbara,

The plot that Catherine Stanton is buried is a family grave with multiple family members. I have attached to photo to all of the people listed in the index. Some people listed on the memorial are not indexed for this location at Holy Cross, they may be cenotaphs. I noted them in bold itacs.
Listed on memorial:

Front:
John Mullally (1880) (not listed in HC index)* memorial was made
Sarah Stanton (1881) (not listed in HC index)*memorial was made
Ellen Stanton (1904)
Thomas Stanton (1908)
John E. Mullally (1912)
Edward T. Mullally (1912)

Right:
Stanton: Anne, Henry, Alice, Charles (not listed in HC index)
Stanton: Edward, his name was James Edward in the index and obituary (#112462256) and Kate (Catherine)
John Barry (not listed in HC index)
William E. Stanton, Jr. (1927), he is currently linked as Catherine’ husband, but is actually her son.
Edwin Barry (1929)
Helen F. Toomey (1929)
Thomas J Stanton (1930)
William A Hamilton (1941)
Thomas Hamilton (1934)
Mary Hamilton (1936)

Left:
Thomas Mullally (not listed in HC index)
Della Mullaly (1907)
James A Mullally (1936)
Martial Hainque (1937)
James L Barry (1954)
Mildred L Hamilton (cenotaph)

Buried in plot, but not listed on stone:
Arline Perry (1973)
Thomas McGlynn (1926)
James Barry (1914)

The child Edward James Stanton, is the child James Stanton you are looking for, I added the obit for him. He was 4 months old when he died.

I hope this helps.

Elizabeth Griffin, Santa Clara Cemetery
Hi! I was able to get a photo of Elizabeth's stone today and will try to upload it soon. I did look for her son nearby, but I didn't see him anywhere. However, there is a plot directly next to Elizabeth's that had the top of the stone missing (only the base is there), so if you contact the cemetery and they say he's buried next to her, I will take a photo of that stone/plot for you, even though the original stone is missing.

=)

John M Sullivan
I'm sorry we are unable to locate John M Sullivan's burial location, he is not listed in the Marysville City burial book 1870-1939 which would cover St Joseph's and Marysville cemeteries. There are several Sullivan's we have not located information on to confirm that they are buried in St Joesphs or Marysville cemetery. Burial records are not the best during the 1800's and early 1900's. If you do a search for Yuba County, California Cemeteries there are 4 that list Sullivan's; Sierra view, Wheatland, Marysville, St Joseph.
Also across the river in Sutter County California there are many cemeteries with Sullivan's in them. Yuba City cemetery, Live Oak cemetery, Sutter cemetery, Praise Chapel Mausoleum.
Good luck with your hunt, I've try to get the Sullivan's figured out, but not much luck, they may have died in the San Francisco area and brought back to this area for burial as many of the pioneers were.

Barbara,
The subject line is how his name is entered in the data base (sfgenealogy.com). He's in the mass grave section (Calvary) .. I uploaded the photos.
