I sorry for the delay in answering back on your question about Isaac Johnston. I did enter the wrong information about his wife, but I corrected it today in the system. Below is the correct information:

(09-02-1854 to 12-14-1915)

Sorry I missed making the link to wife. You indicate Melissa Wilkin was 1st wife. I also added her maiden name on her memorial, but I don't control it so do not know when or if it will be added.

I do understand what you are saying and that you have looked extensively for your great great great grandparents' burial site, but I can't link to pages with "unknown burials". Find a Grave is not a genealogy site, but one that lists where people are buried. If the burial site is unknown, it is not supposed to be listed. There are many other places and websites where you can list out your family members though. Please read through the Guidelines for Find A Grave and you can see I didn't make this up. Sherry

RE: Photo for 8335862

I'm not sure how I did that, but obviously it was a mistake. I've deleted the incorrect photo and added the correct one. Thanks so much for letting me know.

Best Regards,

RE: Woodruff family (NY->Oregon)
I thought I sent you a link sorry.
Buttolph, J.T. President Iowa Falls Bank

I would link them. The dates of the children are close together. Delos ended up on the coast cause of his service. Marcus ran a newspaper in dubuque which today is three hours away. But in those days was likely a two or three day trip. after marias dad died she had her mother come live with them since they were well off. It all makes sense.

One of those times if I had know the back story I would have done more. :-( I added a picture to marias memorial. Maria is the stone on the very left nancys is the one on the very right. The big stone in the center says Buttolph on it. That has history of J T buttolph Marias husband. Sounds like after Taylor died daughter had mother move to Iowa Falls since they were well off.

RE: Nancy and Maria
Delos and maria are only 4 years apart and born in the same general area. Delos service sending him to california would explain him not landing in iowa.
