RE: Thank you
You are more than welcome. After you contact them let me know and I will check periodically to see if his marker has been taken care of. It is on the way to my daughter's place and about halfway between my place and hers so it is no bother. Nancy

find a grave
I would recommend contacting Alta Vista and having the marker checked. It easily could sink into the ground with heavy rains and really should be placed upright again ( a simple thing to do). Nancy

RE: Hollywood Cemetery
Hi, I can help you some here, but do not know where he is buried. It took 2 years, but we have gone through Hollywood bit by bit, taking pictures of markers and posting them. We covered every foot of ground there. The staff at Lincoln Properties is less than nice, especially about people buried at Hollywood or other white cemeteries they own. They charge you for everything - $50 per hour to "help" you find his grave. I put most of the people at Hollywood on findagrave, as they, too, ticked me off. I have been diligently working on those buried there since 2003. I pretty much work on it everyday and it is to help people just like you. I do not want those buried there to be forgotten, even those without markers.

If you will go to the top of your bio page on findagrave, in the center, at the top, you will see an "Edit" button. Click on it - these are changes that others want added on any pages you have created. You will see Emmett's name there. Just click the button at the bottom and it will add all the information that you see there, without you having to type in anything.

To help you, I have added Emmett's WWI draft registration card and also his death certificate to his page. Emmett was born 8/29/1895 in Georgia and he died 2/28/1935 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. I noticed that you had Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia as his death place. Perhaps he lived there, but was maybe in the hospital in Atlanta when he died. I hope this helps you. Please feel free to contact me if you need ANY help on Emmett or other relatives you might have. I mostly help others now that I have found most everyone in my family. 678-921-2148 Judy
