|Barwick-Susan||RE: William Barwick edit|
Yes, I know this is a puzzle. After looking through everything, I am going to change it to Darlington. Another researcher submitted this to me and that person had done extensive work and traveled to the area searching for records. Colleton from what I see actually joined what became Darlington. So it could be that James and Mary McKenzie were staying with relatives or had traveled there for work in Colleton CO? When William B and Elizabeth Phillips Barwick moved to that area it was Cheraws District and the county was split up in 1785 and where they lived became Darlington Dist.. Sadly, the court house burned and most records were lost for Cheraws and the counties formed from it.

Hi, I have from records that William was born in Colleton Co, SC. You submitted an edit to change to Darlington. It is confusing because Colleton was reformed many times. I do believe from what I have found that is was indeed Colleton CO at the time of his birth. Do you have other info? I would be so happy to change if we can figure this out.

Does the cemetery location description not say Turkey Creek Community on the top?

Yes it is the same person. The stone in Flowers Cemetery is a Cenotaph. Don't know why it is there unless the person was moved to Dyer County. Rick

Thanks, Larry. I don't know how to get Findagrave to fix that. I think the person who actually added the cemetery has to change it, but I'm not sure who did that.
